Explosion-proof barometric altimeter with integrated data logger.
The Ex barometric altimeter device is a USB altimeter : it will give you an altitude estimate based on atmospheric pressure. The Ex barometric altimeter is precise enough to detect 10cm altitude changes. It will also give you the current pressure and temperature. Data can be recorded on the internal flash memory, in order to build a data history that can be retrieved later on over USB.
This circuit has been designed so that the sensor itself can be moved further away from the USB connector by a few meters: simply split the board into two parts and solder a 4-wire cable on the designated pads.
Note: To use the Ex barometric altimeter in a hazardous area, the device must be protected to at least IP 65, so it must be placed inside the enclosure.
Ex barometric altimeter don’t require any special drivers or software. Compatible with Windows, Mac OS, Android and Linux and easy to drive from a maximum of programming languages.
The Ex barometric altimeter is connected through an industrial USB 2.0 connector to an intrinsically safe barrier Ex USB 2.0.
The Ex barometric altimeter have a “hot-plug” function which allows them to be connected and disconnected without stopping, shutting down or rebooting the system.
