Explosion-proof cardio microphone sensor
The Ex cardio microphone sensor accurately converts heart sounds (mechanical vibrations) into electrical signals using an electret (condenser) microphone device. Suitable for recording heart sounds in the frequency range of 10 to 500 Hz and useful in fields such as phonocardiography and ballistocardiography.
To use the Ex cardio microphone sensor, connect it to the USB port or USB hub of a Windows laptop or desktop computer.
The Ex cardio microphone sensor is connected through an industrial USB 2.0 connector to an the intrinsically safe barrier Ex USB 2.0.
A green LED on the connector housing indicates the transducer is receiving power and is ready for use
The Ex cardio microphone sensor has a “hot-plug” function which allows it to be connected and disconnected without stopping, shutting down or rebooting the system.
To record, attach the cardio microphone firmly to the chest with adhesive tape. Then move the microphone to different positions until the best signal is obtained.
