Explosion-proof small power relay

This Explosion-proof device is a small USB power relay. It contains a USB-driven SPDT power relay switch: you can drive by software the relay input to one of the two outputs. To make it easier to test your project, two LEDs show the currently active output. This device only includes a single relay. The relay and the connector can stand a current of 5A.

Be aware that using a relay to drive inductive loads (motors, transformers) may lead to accelerated aging of the relay. Please refer to the documentation for hints on reducing this type of problems.

This device can be connected directly to an Ethernet network, to a WiFi network and to a GSM network using special adapters.

Note: To use the Ex small USB power relay in a hazardous area, the device must be protected to at least IP 65, so it must be placed inside the enclosure.

Ex small power relay don’t require any special drivers or software. Compatible with Windows, Mac OS, Android and Linux and easy to drive from a maximum of programming languages.

The Ex small USB power relay is connected through an industrial USB 2.0 connector to an intrinsically safe barrier Ex USB 2.0.

The Ex small USB power relay a “hot-plug” function which allows them to be connected and disconnected without stopping, shutting down or rebooting the system.
