Explosion-proof infrared sensor panel
Explosion-proof infrared sensor panel is designed to control explosion-proof computers, explosion-proof terminals and other PC compatibles. An invisible positioning grid formed by multiple infrared beams accurately and clearly defines touch points.
The working surface of the Ex infrared sensor panel does not have any films for positioning the impact, thus achieving high performance characteristics.
The Ex infrared sensor panel is controlled by any object with thickness more than 4 millimeters. Special microcontroller promptly processes positioning data and sends it directly to the input port
The Ex infrared sensor panel is connected through an industrial USB 2.0 connector to an the intrinsically safe barrier Ex USB 2.0.
The Ex infrared sensor panel has a “hot-plug” function which allows it to be connected and disconnected without stopping, shutting down or rebooting the system.
The technology of Ex infrared sensor panel is as follows: when the panel is touched, optical interruption of the invisible horizontal and vertical infrared rays formed by two arrays of miniature infrared LEDs occurs. An array of photodetectors is located opposite each array of infrared LEDs.
Advantages of explosion-proof infrared sensor panel:

• As opposed to the resistive and capacitive technology, infrared solar panels do not use fragile half-transparent sensitive evaporation coating.
• Scratches, contamination and even cracks do not impact the performance of the sensor panel.
• The panels do not require calibration. Stability of the calibration is based on 100% digital method of the positioning.
• The panels can be operated by any non-transparent object: a hand, a pencil, a hand in a glove.
• Good-quality image. Conductive positioning grids and films which can impact image quality are not applied in Ex infrared sensor panels.
• Panels can operate at sub-zero temperatures to -40°C.
The panel is available in three sizes 12", 15" and 17", 3/4 aspect ratio.
